2017 Medical Assisting Program Performance Outcomes
Forrest College has program accreditation for its Medical Assisting Associate in Science Degree Program. The Associate in Science Degree Program in Medical Assisting is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB). The Commission’s website provides additional information – www.caahep.org.
One of MAERB’s Criteria is that the College publish Performance Outcome indices that are submitted each year to MAERB as part of its annual report. These outcomes are a weighted average of performance over the most recent five-year period, 2012 through 2016.
Student Retention Rate – Five Year Weighted Average –– 80.17%
Eighty percent of students who started the program completed the program.
Job Placement Rate – Five Year Weighted Average –– 73.86%
Seventy-four percent of the students who have graduated from the program are working in the Medical Assisting field or are continuing their education.
Certification Examination Pass Rate – Five Year Weighted Average – 61.76%
Sixty-two percent of graduates who attempted the Medical Assisting Certification Examination passed the exam and are certified CMA (AAMA)
Graduate Satisfaction – Five-year Weighted Average – 96.72%
Ninety-Seven percent of graduates were satisfied with the quality of our program.
Employer Satisfaction – Five Year Weighted Average –– 100%
One hundred percent of employers surveyed were satisfied with the quality of work of our graduates.
