I was born and raised in Anderson, SC, graduating from Crescent HS, Iva, SC in 1972. I entered the US Air Force during Vietnam as a Security Policeman, which was the start of my law enforcement career. I was Honorably Discharged in 1974 and worked for the Iva and Anderson Police Departments until 1978. In that year, I re-entered active duty service with the US Army, serving as an aviator in Germany and Fort Bragg, NC. In 1982, I was selected, and became a Special Agent with the US Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) with assignments at Fort Bragg, Grenada, Korea, Germany, Fort Jackson, Alaska, Fort Irwin, the Pentagon, Kuwait (Desert Storm/Desert Shield), Panama and finally retired as a Special Agent-Chief Warrant Officer Two in 1993. I received an AA Degree in Criminal Justice, Tri-County Technical College (1976), a BS Degree in Criminal Justice, University of the State of New York (1982) and a MA Degree in Management, Webster University (1997). I am also a graduate of the US Air Force Security Police School, US Army Military Police School, US Army CID Course, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, SC Criminal Justice Academy, NC Law Enforcement Training Academy and the FBI National Academy. Upon my retirement from the US Army, I held positions as a Patrol Officer, Criminal Investigator/Detective, Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, Division Commander, Assistant Police Chief and Police Chief. I have taught as an Adjunct Instructor in all areas of Criminal Justice at Fayetteville State University, Central Texas College, Tri-County Technical College, Southeastern Community College, Spartanburg Community College and Forrest College. I am married and have a son, daughter and two step-sons. I am proud to be part of the Forrest College family, whose outstanding and professional approach is dedicated to the success of each and every student. I am here to assist you, my students, in any way possible that might help you to achieve your academic and career goals.
